My ancestral name is Spelexilh, my english name is Anjeanette Dawson. I was one of 10 woman chosen to revive wool weaving in our nation. I have a blanket hanging at the Squamish-Lil’wat Cultural Centre in Whistler, BC that was made for the 2010 Winter Olympics. As well as a fur collared shawl that was worn during the Opening Ceremonies at the 2010 Winter Olympics. I created 2 blankets whose home is at Simon Fraser University. I facilitate workshops for individuals, classes, schools, organizations and Professional Days. I create pieces such as: headbands, quarterbags, shawls, blankets, speakers blankets, sashes, sitting blankets and wallhangings.
These can be for private collection, they can be given as gifts, they can be used in our traditional ceremonies and events.
