Squamish People – Tour Sen̓áḵw with Nch’ḵay̓!

We’re pleased to invite Squamish People to tour the Sen̓áḵw construction site with our team for a behind-the-scenes look at the historic development underway.

Tours will take place on select Wednesdays (3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) from September to December. Additional tours may be added in 2026, depending on site activities and demand.

The registration form is available at the bottom of this page.

* Please note, tours are open only to Squamish People. We are not offering tours to the general public at this time. *

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Before submitting your name for a tour, please review the following rules and expectations carefully.

Lottery System

  • Safety requirements limit the number of people we can host on each tour to a maximum of 15. While we appreciate our community’s interest in touring Sen̓áḵw, we may not be able to accommodate everyone.
  • Attendees will be drawn from the pool of registered applicants in a lottery system. You may enter the lottery at any time during the 2025 tour period for a chance to attend.
  • Names will be drawn a week before the upcoming tour date. Selected Squamish People will be contacted to confirm their attendance. Each person may bring one guest. If confirmation is not received three days before the tour departs, a new name will be drawn and yours will be returned to the pool.
  • We have set aside some of these tour dates exclusively for Squamish Elders. Elder registration will be coordinated by the North Vancouver and Squamish Valley Elders Centres.

Health and Safety

  • Due to the visitor restrictions and limited personal protective equipment (PPE) on site, we cannot accommodate any drop-in guests on tours. If you are selected for a tour and wish to bring a guest, you must provide their name when you RSVP to the invitation. Should you have additional friends or family members who want to attend a tour, please fill out a separate registration form for them.
  • The minimum age to attend a tour is 16 years old.
  • Sen̓áḵw is an active construction site that contains uneven surfaces, moving equipment, and tripping hazards. Attendees must be able to safely walk unassisted for the duration of the tour.
  • Tour attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Sen̓áḵw.

If you are an Elder and wish to attend an Elders-only tour, please contact your local Elders’ Centre. Should you have any questions or require support filling out the registration form, please email Jessea_baring@nchkay.com.
