In September 2025, Nch’ḵay̓ acquired International Plaza on Marine Drive in X̱wemelch’stn (Capilano IR #5, North Vancouver), bringing the residential and commercial complex on Squamish Nation reserve land under the Squamish Nation’s ownership and Nch’ḵay̓’s stewardship.
Built in 1975, International Plaza includes 471 rental homes and more than 65,000 square feet of commercial space in a two-tower complex. These buildings are now under Squamish Nation and Nch’ḵay̓ ownership for the first time since their development and are part of a long-term strategy to grow a strong real estate portfolio for the Nation.
To support residents and commercial tenants, Nch’ḵay̓ has hired Peterson—a highly regarded local full-service real estate firm—as property manager. Working with the existing on-site team, Peterson will oversee daily operations and work closely with us to ensure the buildings are managed with a strong focus on safety, respect, and community well-being.
Nch’ḵay̓ will be investing in capital improvements to building infrastructure, common spaces, and individual units, all while maintaining high standards for health, safety, and liveability.
