Dr. Denise Findlay, a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh knowledge keeper and Educational Developer at Simon Fraser University, has spent more than 20 years partnering with 120+ communities and organizations across Canada on the journey of reconciliation, decolonization and indigenization of programs and services, and initiating and leading systemic change.
Denise bridges PhD-level scholarship with grassroots practice—guiding a transformative process with proven results. Our relational practice aims to effect growth, change, and transformation within family and community settings, and within teams and organizations.
Decolonization of Programs and Services
Through meaningful collaboration, we strive to develop culturally distinct approaches to decolonizing programs and services, ensuring they are more responsive to the unique needs of Indigenous peoples.
Denise’s team bring decades of experience working collaboratively and meaningfully with Indigenous peoples and communities, in addition to extensive experience working successfully with public and private sector organizations spanning the fields of health, mental health, education, social work, environment, and substance use.
By leading with Indigenous wisdom and education, contemplative inquiry, and the developmental sciences, Denise and her team offer an interdisciplinary approach that meets the diverse needs of clients that include:
