Nch’ḵay̓ is proud to support the launch of a new Indigenous Real Estate Essentials Program this summer, offered in partnership with the Squamish Nation Nexw7áýstwaý Training and Trades Centre (NTTC) and delivered by the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business and Spitz Centre for Indigenous Business Education.
This exciting opportunity is open to all Indigenous learners interested in exploring real estate as a career pathway and will introduce participants to the fundamentals of the industry — from development to operations, and property management to sales and appraisal.
About the Program
- 10 weeks with one online module and one in-person session per week, hosted in North Vancouver
- Guest speakers who work in Indigenous real estate development.
- No previous experience or prerequisites are required.
- No course credit or credential issued upon completion.

- Completed applications must be submitted to the NTTC by no later than May 15, 2026.
Cost
- FREE — the NTTC will cover tuition costs for all Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and other Indigenous learners, with additional support available such as Internet access, a living allowance, access to tutors, etc.
Dates
- Orientation week will take place between Mon. June 8, and Fri. June 12, for all participants, with the course running until Aug. 24, 2026.
- Graduation takes place on Sept. 8, 2026.
